Our Work
Here's an overview of what the Limners have been working on lately. We've got a handful of exciting projects in progress, and we're looking for creative individuals who are interested in getting involved. If anything sparks your interest, please don't hesitate to reach out! Extra hands are always welcome as we work to keep these projects moving forward.
Monthly Gatherings
Limners gather together monthly to ignite our creative passions! Our community thrives on the synergy of collaboration and the diverse creative spaces we have in the area. We know that great ideas can come from anywhere, so we invite all types of creatives to join us for our monthly gatherings.
We are always looking for new and exciting locations to host our events, so if you have any suggestions, please share them with us! Let's inspire each other and create something beautiful together.
Limners Inkwell
This group of Limners is full of writers, storytellers, and poets. We have Poetry Chills once per month where creatives gather to share, learn, and inspire one another. Also new to the scene, creative writing prompts are given in the Inkwell Flash Fiction Writing Challenges where writers of all backgrounds and experience are welcome to participate.
The HOPE is that after enough of these events we may be able to publish something from our Limners Inkwell, so if you're interested in helping us make that happen please reach out!
Music Mingle
Our very first Music Mingle was held at the Rusty Axe in Downtown Lufkin on September 6th. Much to the delight of everyone who showed up, we had a great turnout, packed the house with musicians and music lovers, jamming out together. All levels of talent and experience were present to play, forming an organic orchestra of different instruments, styles, and voices.
We've been invited to host these every other month, so be on the lookout for our next one!
Open Studios
Open Studios are a chance for creatives to share an experience together. Someone will take the lead as a host, sharing their passion, interest and knowledge of the particular craft so that others can learn, appreciate and participate. This could be a visual artform like photography, tie-dye, printmaking, or performance art, like dancing, acting, songwriting... The creative options are limitless!
